Graduate Research Assistant – Ph.D. or M.S. in Ruminant Nutrition (Dairy)

Position description: The Department of Animal Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for the position of Graduate Research Assistant. The successful candidate will be involved in a multifaceted research program in dairy cattle nutrition and physiology with an emphasis on metabolomics.

Candidates must be able to perform experiments independently, prepare research reports including poster and oral presentations, and submit manuscripts for publication. Candidates must be willing to work effectively in a collaborative environment and be willing to learn applied and basic research techniques. Demonstrated expertise or experience in nutrition, biochemistry, molecular biology techniques, metabolomics, and statistics is a plus.
